Line Manager: Director of Operations
Salary: Dependent on experience but within the range £24,000 to £30,000

INEQE Safeguarding Group is the largest company of its kind, specialising in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in the context of their access to technology and use of social media.

Due to significant growth in business, we are seeking to hire a Training & Development professional to lead in course construction, accreditation and training delivery. Working alongside our Research and Safeguarding Teams, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and deliver training that will support the work we do; helping make people safer.

This is a unique opportunity to research and create bespoke professional development content on contemporary Safeguarding topics. Your role will be to identify new trends and themes in Safeguarding and design up to date content, whilst also maintaining our current content. Our courses are available to customers via webinars, mobile apps, online platforms and face-to-face.

A key part of this role will be creating courses on our E-Learning platform to engage learners in immersive content.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility of managing all aspects of learning, development and training within INEQE Safeguarding Group.
  • Manage the accreditation of our courses – currently ILM and CPD.
  • Develop the learning methodology and create course content.
  • Working alongside our Creative Visual Design Team, to create relevant and engaging content using a range of tools such as video.
  • Produce system-generated reports on a regular basis to meet specific client reporting requirements.
  • Delivery of training offering either face to face or virtually, such as webinars.
  • Manage the relevant training events / schedule and source trainers (internal and consultants) for delivery as required.
  • Support the Senior Management Team with internal training needs analysis and upskilling staff with a view to support the growth within the company.
  • Carry out induction programmes in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Work with clients to develop the relationship, understand their learning needs and deliver training.
  • Support our Customer Engagement Team with delivery of client engagement functions and webinars.
  • Maintain oversight of the quality assurance process for the professional development content.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and data protection.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to create innovative learning solutions via a range of platforms.
  • Complete any relevant administrative tasks.
  • Undertake any other tasks set by the Directors.

Essential Criteria

  • Training / Learning & Development background / education background.
  • Hold a recognised training qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience writing professional development and/or L&D material.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of digital and e-learning training solutions.
  • IT literate / MS Office proficiency.
  • A self-motivated team player but happy to work on your own initiative.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with ownership of outcomes for key projects.
  • Creative, with an eye for detail and an ability to make E-Learning fun.
  • Ability to create pre and post evaluation surveys.
  • Willingness to travel for training events (as and when restrictions allow).
  • Be able to produce high quality work to meet short timescales.

Desirable Criteria

  • Safeguarding experience.
  • CIPD training accreditation.
  • A good understanding of social media platforms.
  • Experience of designing, implementing and delivering blended learning approaches.
  • An interest in developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in the context of the digital world.

In order to comply with government directions during the pandemic, we have a blended approach to working from home, with an increasing presence in the office. Once restrictions are lifted, all staff will return to office working.

The company participates in the NI Smart: Asymptomatic Testing Programme with twice weekly Lateral Flow Testing made available for staff working in the office.


Hours of Work:
8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement. There will also be, on occasions, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties as required).
