POLICY DEVELOPMENT

Policy and procedure designed to safeguard your clients, employees and organisation.

We know about great policy and procedure here at Ineqe. After many years of conducting policy reviews and independent reviews we know the downfalls. Our contemporary SMEs act as special advisors on policy within your organisation, ensuring your company policy keeps people safe and secure.

We have an extensive network of Specialist Advisors based throughout the world and operating across a diverse range of disciplines. We match contemporary subject matter experts to a client’s needs and engage individuals, advisors or teams to help identify and mitigate risk, develop policy, improve practice and ensure compliance.

Each advisor has either held strategic command and senior management positions or are credible front line practitioners.

INDEPENDENT REVIEWS

Credible reviews from subject matter experts.

The INEQE Safeguarding Group have a long history of carrying out investigative enquires and producing complex safeguarding reviews. From individual incidents to organisational reviews of policy procedure and practice. Our experience covers schools, charities and businesses and government institutions.

Our CEO was a co-author on the first Domestic Homicide Review and led the Scoping Review into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Others have carried out fundamental reviews of key policing activities in the UK and further afield, supported capability and suitability assessments and provided expert witnesses to courts and commissions.

INEQE teams keep up to date and relevant by reflecting on learning from others and the insights provided by our own work in the criminal justice, charitable, education, social care and health sectors.

INDEPENDENT SAFEGUARDING REVIEW

A note from Jim Gamble QPM on the release of the Ineqe Safeguarding Group Independent Review into Oxfam GB.

This Review has been a complex piece of work, focusing on a charity operating across a diverse and challenging geographic footprint. It was supervised by the Charity Commission and overseen by an independent QC. The content of the report speaks for itself and should be read in full to place its findings in context.

Amongst all of the negativity about Oxfam GB and its past failings, it is important to keep in mind the thousands of staff and volunteers who continue to do good work, often in challenging places.

What happened let everyone down but the focus for Oxfam GB must now be on continued improvement; implementing the lessons learned and building a more robust safeguarding framework.

Independent Review into the use of social media by the Isle of Man Constabulary (IOMC).

In 2021, INEQE Safeguarding Group was commissioned to undertake an independent review into the use of social media by the Isle of Man Constabulary (IoMC). During the onset of the global Coronavirus pandemic, the force experienced a steep increase in demand.
July was the busiest period experienced in almost 10 years.

With the constant emergence of different types of digital platforms, it is important that the IoMC ensure that engagement with its communities is both effective and meaningful. It needs to keep members of the public up to date on emerging crimes and anti-social behaviour, whilst at the same time demonstrating an understanding of their needs and digital expectations.
