Fostering in a Digital World
Fostering isn’t always easy and we know it may sometimes be unclear where to turn for advice, especially concerning online issues. That’s why the ‘Fostering in a Digital World’ App has been created as a resource and training tool for foster carers and social workers.
The App uses an innovative platform that has been developed specifically for and with foster carers in an initiative across the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust directives of the Fostering Service and Health Development, in partnership with the Ineqe Group. The App is now a regional resource available across all five Health & Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland.
This App was shortlisted for ‘Mobile App of the Year’ in the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards 2019.

IFA Foundation
The Irish FA’s Safeguarding Children and Young People in Football app is an ideal educational tool for adults involved in youth football, as well as young players.
The app is aimed at creating greater awareness and understanding about safeguarding best practice. Critically, it is to build confidence and competence so that adults involved in children’s football are better prepared to identify, respond to, and report, child protection concerns.
This App was shortlisted for ‘Mobile App of the Year’ in the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards 2019.

BSCP Suite of Apps

The BSCP App includes information on subjects such as thresholds of needs, escalation, what to do if you are concerned about a professional and how to get help if you are concerned about a child. The BSCB Private Fostering App and the BSCP FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) App both provide local guidance and signposting for safeguarding professionals.

Sport Ireland App
The Sport Ireland App is based on the Code of Ethics & Good Practice for Children’s Sport. It is an information and guidance tool for everyone involved in sport for children and young people. The App is aimed at creating greater awareness and understanding about safeguarding and best practice in children’s sport.
