Line Manager: Head of Creative Visual Design

Salary: £18,000 – £22,000

Full Time Hours: 40 per week

Due to growth and demand expected within our business we are now seeking to hire a Creative Motion Designer.

Embedded into our Creative Visual Team you will be passionate about design, animation and illustration, eager to face creative challenges with an understanding of how to adapt and create within various brand identities.

The successful candidate will be creatively passionate, adaptable and be able to show resourceful time management. We’re looking for someone who is a lifelong learner, with their finger on the pulse of what is contemporary in the world of content creation.

Responsibilities will include

  • You will be responsible for creating beautiful, engaging, and appropriate illustrations and infographics for high quality content.
  • Leading the development of printed and digital content from concept to completion, beginning with a brief, sketches and storyboards, and ending with a finished digital piece of art.
  • Collaborate with our internal Creative Designers, Research & Content team and Training Team to produce compelling visual 2D illustrations, artwork and animations.
  • Adapting illustration and animations to match both internal brand guidelines and those of our clients.
  • Ensuring that a high quality of creative work is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Travel may be required in the future.
  • Any other duties required by the Directors and the Head of Creative Visual Design.

Essential Criteria Requirements

  • One year’s industry experience.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animations
  • Comfortable with the digital artwork process
  • A working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Audition.
  • Excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of digital and motion media.
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt your skills and approach to a broad range of project types.
  • Keen to work as part of a team.
  • Access NI clearance (this will be provided by INEQE Safeguarding Group).

Desirable Requirements

  • Third Level Qualification in a related subject such as: Graphic Design and Illustration, Animation, Motion Media Design etc.
  • Website experience including editing and management.
  • Understanding of the 12 Principles of Animation
  • Design knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Proven experience working with 2D animation.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual working practices and terminology including, but not limited to, correct exposure using ISO, shutter speed, aperture; white balance, focus, use of lightning; scanning methods (progressive/interlaced); framing/composition; and audio gain staging.
  • Content creation for social media channels including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Experience working with video content and production.
  • A full driving licence.

Hours of Work

8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement – there will also be, on occasion, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties to be agreed as required).
