Samsung Urges S10 Users to Disable In-display Fingerprint Sensor Admin2020-02-10T15:23:43+00:00 Last Updated on 10th February 2020 Samsung has acknowledged that ‘any fingerprint’ can unlock the flagship S10 phone, because of issues with screen protectors. Samsung has said they will soon release a software patch to fix the issue affecting the in-display fingerprint sensor. The sensor uses ultrasound technology to detect details of a user’s fingerprint. Upon release, Samsung claimed this new feature was ‘revolutionary’. Samsung has advised users to disable to fingerprint sensor until the issue is fixed. You can do this by clicking: Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints > (deselect) Fingerprint Unlock.
