Samsung has acknowledged that ‘any fingerprint’ can unlock the flagship S10 phone, because of issues with screen protectors.

Samsung has said they will soon release a software patch to fix the issue affecting the in-display fingerprint sensor.

The sensor uses ultrasound technology to detect details of a user’s fingerprint. Upon release, Samsung claimed this new feature was ‘revolutionary’.

Samsung has advised users to disable to fingerprint sensor until the issue is fixed.

You can do this by clicking: Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints > (deselect) Fingerprint Unlock.
