We are at an exciting moment in the story of our growing company; with ambitious targets for our business, we are now seeking to hire a Marketing, Communications and Social Media Officer on a fixed term or permanent contract.

Working collaboratively with a diverse range of energetic and passionate people you will be embedded into service engagement team You will be responsible for the successful development and deployment of our marketing strategies, internal and external communications, and management of the company’s social media. With a great eye for detail and the ability to effectively plan, you will successfully connect our values, ethos, services, and products to a distinct audience.

The Successful Candidate:

You will be a highly organised and self-motivated individual that can lead, work, and thrive in a fast-paced team and mission focused environment. A natural communicator, with a great eye for detail, you will bring a blended experience of creative copy writing, strategic marketing, and effective action; fused together with a real and tangible passion for what we do – help make people safer.


Responsibilities will include :

  • The development and deployment of a strategic marketing plan within key objectives.
  • Working with in-house creatives to produce materials (printed and digital) of visual impact and within brand guidelines.
  • Lead and work collaboratively across departments to develop social media timelines, product releases, ad campaigns and brand messaging.
  • Conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences, industry trends and digital developments.
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press, radio, TV, or social media as appropriate to the product or service.
  • Manage the company’s social media accounts, building and engaging online audience interaction and promoting brand-focused messaging.
  • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies.
  • Writing, proofing, and editing copy.
  • Effectively curate and deploy creative copy and assets.
  • Updating databases and using a customer relationship management system.
  • Managing marketing campaigns and budgets.
  • Auditing and effective analysis of social media and marketing campaigns including costs and returns to the business.
  • Handle media enquiries and create engaging news releases.
  • Develop working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure consistency of voice, branding and messaging across campaigns and platforms.
  • Development of new and existing product and services digital marketing materials.
  • Compliance with all relevant legislation and policies relating to data protection and confidentiality of information.
  • Monitor competitor activity and generating leads for products and services.
  • The effective prioritisation and organisation of work.
  • Maintenance of digital filing systems and performance of all general administrative tasks as appropriate.
  • Carry out any other duties required by the Head of Service and Safer Schools and / or the Directors.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of two years relevant experience in the creation and implementation of effective communications, marketing strategies and management of cross platform social media accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clear ability to communicate effectively and successfully.

  • Be able to lead, work and thrive under pressure in a collaborative environment.
  • A critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Self-motivated and a Team Player.
  • Demonstrated success in building brand presence online.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and service needs.
  • Experience of building and maintaining mutual internal and external relationships.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • A high attention to detail.
  • You care about making people safer.
  • Strong IT skills (The company primarily uses Mac hardware and the Microsoft 365 suite).

Desirable Requirements

  • Third Level qualification in marketing or equivalent.
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certified (Or working towards).
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot and / or Trello
  • Safeguarding experience in a paid or voluntary capacity e.g., in a charity, education or youthwork environment.

Hours of Work

8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement – there will also be, on occasion, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties to be agreed as required).
