Digital Content Assistant

With the award of several major projects, we are now seeking to hire a Digital Content Assistant on a fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate, or a candidate embarking on a career change to develop their skills in a unique environment, with a multi-award-winning company.

Embedded in our Content and Creative Visual Design team, you will be responsible for assisting in the upgrading and updating of content in our various native-apps and web-based digital projects, such as Safer Schools NI.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who loves organising, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and grow.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Curate and manage content across a range of platforms, including web and mobile apps.
  • Maintain an organised system for folder and file structures.
  • Assist with basic HTML and CSS tasks to ensure proper content formatting.
  • Utilise tools such as Microsoft Excel and code-editing software for content management.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams regarding the update and maintenance of content, including the Development and Content & Training Teams.
  • Prioritise tasks and make informed decisions to meet tight deadlines.
  • Adapt your skills and approach to handle a variety of project types.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail in all aspects of content management.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Directors or the Head of Content and Creative Visual Design, which may evolve with the needs of the organisation.

Essential Criteria

  • Basic understanding of HTML & CSS.
  • Knowledge of tools such as JSON Lint or VS Code.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a busy environment and deliver projects to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate into the wider team.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team player who can work collaboratively or under own initiative.
  • You care about making people safer.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience in a content coordination or related role.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Basic project management experience
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Experience of working with JSON code.
  • Experience or interest in software such as Figma.
  • Knowledge of Adobe software such as Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in WordPress editing and management.

Place of work

This is an office-based role at INEQE Safeguarding Group, Ocean House, 13 Edgewater Road Belfast, BT3 9JQ.

Hours of work

Normal working for full time staff is 8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement – there will also be, on occasion, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties as required).

Salary Range: £25,500 – may be increased depending on experience (Pro-Rata for part-time hours)
