Business Analyst

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Business Analyst who will be focused on investigative research linked to our portfolio of work.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with the necessary skills. Particularly suitable for someone with a background and experience in education, social care, law enforcement or related field looking for a full or part-time role.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working as part of the team to support business projects and tasks, including safeguarding audits, reviews and snapshot insights by delivering timely, high-quality research and analysis.
  • Provide administrative support for safeguarding audits and reviews by gathering material, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain a contemporary understanding of legal, regulatory and policy frameworks alongside a knowledge of current safeguarding practice.
  • Contribute to team development by identifying trends and suggesting process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.

Essential Criteria

  • Third Level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A minimum of three years relevant experience.
  • Excellent data literacy: including the ability to conduct numerical analysis and working with a range of data sets.
  • Be able to work and thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and service needs.
  • Strong computer skills (The company primarily uses Mac hardware and the Microsoft 365 suite).

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.
  • A relevant qualification in social work, law, or a related field (desirable).
  • Proven experience leveraging AI language tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Safeguarding experience in a paid or voluntary capacity e.g., in a charity, education, law enforcement, social care or youth work environment (whilst not essential is desirable)

Place of work

This is an office-based role at INEQE Safeguarding Group, Ocean House, 13 Edgewater Road Belfast, BT3 9JQ.

Hours of work

Normal working for full time staff is 8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement – there will also be, on occasion, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties as required).
