Safeguarding for Governors

Overview

Governors play a vital role in ensuring effective safeguarding within their organisation. Our Safeguarding for Governors course provides a tailored introduction to governors’ statutory responsibilities, helping them understand their legal duties and how to effectively monitor, challenge, and support safeguarding practice. The training covers key safeguarding principles, legal responsibilities, and good practice approaches to governance oversight. It also explores how to manage emerging safeguarding themes, including mental health concerns, online safety risks, and exploitation. Governors will develop the knowledge and confidence to champion safeguarding within their organisation, ensuring that policies are robust, compliant, and embedded in everyday practice.
