Overview
Delivering safe and positive experiences for children and young people in sport and activity settings requires more than good intentions. It demands a clear understanding of safeguarding risks and how to manage them effectively.
This session equips coaches, activity leaders, and safeguarding leads with the knowledge and practical skills to carry out meaningful risk assessments that reflect the unique challenges of their environment.
Participants will explore how to identify, assess, and respond to potential risks across a range of scenarios from equipment and venue safety to supervision, travel, and changing room use. With a focus on proportionality and good practice, this course supports organisations to create safer spaces where safeguarding is embedded in every decision.
