With a substantial expanding order book for iOS Apps, Ineqe Safeguarding Group are now looking to recruit a talented and experienced iOS developer to assist our production team in the development and maintenance of native iOS Apps.

Ideally you will have a degree in computer science or similar. If you haven’t, don’t worry the role would suit an experienced programmer with substantial experience of programming (at least two years). The successful candidate will have practical experience together with a positive attitude and good interpersonal communication skills, team working approach and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities & Duties

As an iOS App Developer you will work as part of our development team, developing projects from the ground up to ensure the design, delivery and implementation of all projects is in line with the customer requirements across a wide spectrum of clients.

Reporting to the Development Team Leader, you will contribute to every stage of the development and build of Apps, ensuring that all code is of the highest quality. This will include activities ranging from client engagement through to post launch maintenance.

You will be expected to continue to develop technical skills and ensure that you keep up to date with the latest trends in the market. A training budget is available to assist staff undertake relevant training.

Qualifications and Skills

We are ideally looking for someone with the following essential skills:

  • Two years or more post-qualification experience on native iOS applications

  • A good understanding of Object-Orientated programming

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field would be an advantage

  • Knowledge of Software Architecture and Design

  • Experience developing iOS apps using Objective C, Swift, iOS 13 SDK and Xcode

  • Experience using relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience working with RESTful web services

  • Experience using third party APIs

  • Understand the importance of source code management and basic git usage

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work in a team

  • Experience of determining user requirements and developing applications to match them

  • Ability to evaluate alternatives and understand business implications and impact

  • Proactive and self-motivated

  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

  • Experience publishing iOS applications to the App Store

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience developing cross-platform mobile application using Xamarin and/or React Native

  • Knowledge in web-based front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Preference may be given to candidates with experience of cross-platform experience.

This role is for a full-time post but may be available on a part-time basis. The salary range will be £25,000 to £35,000 and will depend on skills and ability. Regular salary reviews are conducted and staff who meet our productivity targets are rewarded.

Additional Information

Travel
The role may involve evening and weekend working, and travel within the United Kingdom. Candidates must be willing to undertake changes to the working day as is required.
