Keeping Yourself Safe Online: Ages 13-18
Overview
In today’s digital world, young people are exposed to a range of online risks. This session is designed to equip them with essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate the online world safely.
Children/young people will explore key topics such as exploitation and grooming, the sharing of explicit imagery and the potential risks associated with online interactions.
Through age-appropriate engaging discussions and activities, they will learn how to protect themselves, make informed choices, and seek help when needed.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, students will:
- Recognise common online risks
- Understand the consequences of sharing explicit imagery
- Identify common tactics used by online predators and those who wish to exploit young people and know how to report and seek help.
