Safeguarding Against Sextortion: A Multi-Agency Approach

Overview

This course is designed for parents, safeguarding professionals, and anyone working with children and young people. It provides the learner with a clear understanding of sextortion, a form of online abuse where coercion, manipulation and threats are used to control their victims. Sextortion almost always involves the sharing of private images. Using real-life examples, we’ll explore how children and young people may encounter this form of abuse and the impact it has on their lives. The course also offers practical advice, resources, and strategies to help protect and support the children in your care. By the end of this training, you’ll be equipped to recognise and respond to this type of abuse effectively.

One of the best webinars I've attended. Very informative, examples, data, statistics etc. Would highly recommend this to any colleagues working with young people.

The webinar not only gave lots of information using examples about the topic which made the points easy to understand but then it gave concrete ideas of how to respond to the problem which was excellent and just what I needed. Thank you

Great training session - condense to a manageable time, with all key information clearly covered and displayed. I really enjoyed this training and it empowered me to update staff as well as students, and be more aware to prevent and educate young pupils on these topics.
