Overview
This training course explores the intersection of youth ministry and the digital world, equipping leaders with the knowledge and skills to navigate online risks, highlighting both the opportunities and the unique risks to faith settings. Learn how to identify and address online issues including grooming, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, privacy concerns, and social media’s impact on mental health. Develop an understanding of the importance of policies that guide appropriate use of social media for those in such roles and learn about strategies to create safer online spaces, foster positive interactions, and utilise technology for effective youth ministry while adhering to safeguarding good practices.

Participants will:
- Identify online risks such as grooming, onling bullying and harmful content.
- Learn how to establish healthy boundaries in relation to their professional conduct, having separate accounts and appropriate content.
- Understand how to utilise technology effectively to connect, engage, and foster spiritual growth.
- Develop their knowledge of safeguarding young people to prioritise online safety and protect faith formation.
- Consider how to promote responsible tech use.
